Maarit Kahila is the CEO of Maptionnaire by Mapita Oy since May 2011, where the focus is on a map-based community engagement tool that facilitates interactions between communities and planners through GIS-based data collection. Prior to this role, Maarit served as a co-founder and development manager at Mapita Oy. Additionally, Maarit has been a researcher at the Centre for Urban and Regional Studies at Aalto University since 2005, holding a Doctor of Science in Technology with a specialization in Urban Planning and Public Participation and a Master of Science in Planning Geography from the University of Helsinki.
