The rich history of Marathon Watch began in 1904, founded as Weinsturm watch and later renamed Wein brothers in. In 1939 Marathon Watch was founded by Morris Wein and began crafting and supplying fine timepieces to retailers throughout North America. The creation of Marathon Watch marked the first in 4 generations of family ownership by the Wein family, a tradition still carried out today. At the dawn of 1941 Marathon Watch began manufacturing precise timing instruments for the Allied Forces during WWII, this marked the beginning of Marathon Watch’s long and rich military history. As of today, Marathon still manufactures and provides watches to allied military forces throughout the free world, such watches as the Diver’s Automatic, the Military Navigator, the General Purpose Mechanical, and many more of our models are still military issue, continuing the long tradition of quality, accuracy, and reliability that can be appreciated by anyone from a soldier to a civilian.
