Salil Desai is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in investment management, equity research, and risk management. Currently part of the Investments Team at Marcellus Investment Managers since February 2019, Salil previously held the position of Vice President at Premji Invest, the Family Office of billionaire philanthropist Azim Premji, from September 2012 to November 2018. Prior to that, Salil served as Sr. Vice President at IDFC Securities, where the focus was on equity research in the cement and infrastructure development sectors. Career beginnings included roles at ICICI Securities in risk management for bond trading and equities, as well as process management at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. An academic background includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from NMIMS, an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and a B.Com. in Accounting from the University of Mumbai.
