Steven joins MarginEdge with an extensive background in data science and research. Most recently, he was director of data science for WeddingWire/The Knot, and before that spent time in government tax fraud research and working as a college math and statistics professor. After achieving a B.S. in applied math from Appalachian State, Steven decided he wanted more from academia and went after not one, but two masters: an M.A. in math with a research emphasis in cryptography, and an M.S. in computational and data science with a research emphasis in image recognition of large-scale galactic events. At MarginEdge, Steven leads our team of data scientists, data analysts, and data engineers in helping to improve internal MarginEdge operations with statistical methods and machine learning, and in building new features for our clients to optimize their business.
