Gijs Struijk

Gijs Struijk is a seasoned senior project manager at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) since August 2015, currently leading the Performance at Sea department and previously serving as a project manager in the Trials & Monitoring department. Struijk has a strong academic foundation with a cum laude MSc in Maritime Technology - Ship Hydromechanics and a cum laude BSc in Maritime Technology, both from Delft University of Technology. Earlier professional experiences include an internship at Vroon focusing on full-scale ship motion measurements, various roles in the S.G. "William Froude" student organization, an internship at Damen Shiprepair Oranjewerf, and practical sailing experience as an ordinary sailor on the Clipper Stad Amsterdam.
