Giorgio Ballestin

Giorgio Ballestin is a VR/AR Specialist and Project Manager at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) since November 2022. Prior to this role, Giorgio served as R&D Project Manager at Tenova from September 2021 to November 2022. Between September 2017 and September 2021, Giorgio was involved in academia at Università degli Studi di Genova, where responsibilities included being a Ricercatore and Docente assistente for various courses related to Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, algorithms, and programming. Giorgio also completed a PhD in Computer Science and Systems Engineering with a focus on Computer Vision at Università degli Studi di Genova from 2017 to 2020, and holds multiple degrees in Robotics Engineering and Computer Science from prestigious institutions including Warsaw University of Technology and Università degli Studi di Genova.
