Patrick Hooijmans

Patrick Hooijmans is a Senior Project Manager Ships and Team Leader for Transport & Shipping at MARIN, with a focus on consultancy for merchant vessels and inland waterway vessels. Hooijmans has extensive experience in hull lines optimization, model tests, and wind propulsion design. Previously, Hooijmans served as a Consultant/Project Manager in the Ship - Consultancy and Integrated Projects department and managed a joint venture with SSSRI in Shanghai, China. Additionally, Hooijmans held the position of Deputy General Manager at SSSRI-MARIN Co., Ltd., contributing as a member of the Board of Directors. Earlier career experience includes a role as a Project Engineer at MARIN, where responsibilities included analysis of model tests and project reporting. Hooijmans holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Control Systems Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire and BSc degrees in Control Systems Engineering and Naval Architecture from various institutions.
