Marine Biological Laboratory
Andrew Gillis is an accomplished scientist currently serving as an Associate Scientist at the Marine Biological Laboratory since September 2022. Prior to this role, Andrew held a position as Group Leader at the University of Cambridge from November 2014 to September 2022, and served as Director at the Cambridge Biotomography Centre within the same institution from January 2015 to December 2020. Andrew gained valuable experience as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie University from January 2012 to October 2014, and as a Royal Society Newton Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Cambridge from September 2009 to December 2011. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Developmental Biology and Embryology from the University of Chicago, attained in August 2009, a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Bristol, completed in August 2005, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Dalhousie University, earned in May 2004.
