Kim Ayres is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement and contract management, currently serving as the Senior Procurement and Contract Manager at Marinus Link since May 2023. Prior to this role, Kim held significant positions at TasNetworks as Procurement Leader from November 2017 to May 2023, and at TasWater as Manager of Procurement Services and Team Leader of Procurement Services from March 2015 to November 2017. Kim also served as Purchasing Manager at Muir Engineering Pty Ltd from March 2008 to February 2015, and as Procurement Manager at Hazell Bros Group from June 1999 to March 2008. Kim's educational background includes an Advanced Diploma of Business, an Advanced Diploma in Business Management, and an Advanced Diploma of Business Human Resources, all obtained from TAFE Tasmania, as well as completing University Entrance at Otumoetai College.

About Marinus Link Marinus Link is a proposed undersea and underground electricity and telecommunications connector between Tasmania and Victoria. It will cross Bass Strait, connecting into existing electricity networks near Burnie in Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria, and is currently in the design and approvals phase. Marinus Link Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of TasNetworks, which plans, owns and operates Tasmania’s electricity network. In October 2022, the Tasmanian, Victorian and Australian governments agreed to joint ownership of Marinus Link.
