About Marinus Link Marinus Link is a proposed undersea and underground electricity and telecommunications connector between Tasmania and Victoria. It will cross Bass Strait, connecting into existing electricity networks near Burnie in Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria, and is currently in the design and approvals phase. Marinus Link Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of TasNetworks, which plans, owns and operates Tasmania’s electricity network. In October 2022, the Tasmanian, Victorian and Australian governments agreed to joint ownership of Marinus Link.
