Currently serving as an Associate at Marinus Link since December 2020, Shannon previously worked as a Senior Project Specialist at LAMS Australia from April 2015 to February 2023, and as a Land Access Consultant at Maloney Field Services between July 2006 and March 2014. Shannon's career began at ANZ Bank, where a role as a Rural Manager was held from January 1979 to April 2006. Education was completed at Alice Springs High School from 1974 to 1978.

About Marinus Link Marinus Link is a proposed undersea and underground electricity and telecommunications connector between Tasmania and Victoria. It will cross Bass Strait, connecting into existing electricity networks near Burnie in Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria, and is currently in the design and approvals phase. Marinus Link Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of TasNetworks, which plans, owns and operates Tasmania’s electricity network. In October 2022, the Tasmanian, Victorian and Australian governments agreed to joint ownership of Marinus Link.
