John Peters

John Peters is an accomplished academic and administrator with a diverse background in international engagement and economics. Currently, John serves as the Associate Provost for International Engagement and Senior International Officer at Marist College, a position held since May 2009, following roles as Vice Provost and Dean of International Programs. Previously, John held significant positions at the School for International Training and served as an adjunct professor at the University of Redlands. John earned a PhD in Political Economy and Public Policy from the University of Southern California and possesses multiple advanced degrees including an MA in Economics and an MA in International Affairs from Ohio University. Additional qualifications include professional certifications in education abroad standards and leadership in internationalization, acquired through prestigious programs such as the NAFSA Executive Internationalization Leadership e-Institute and the Forum on Education Abroad.
