Laura Patton, CPP, has extensive experience in payroll and HR operations, currently serving as the Director of Global Payroll and US Benefits Strategy at Markel since March 2018. Previously, Laura held key roles such as Global Payroll Manager at Owens & Minor and Payroll Manager for Payroll Projects and Technology at CarMax. Early career positions included Senior Manager of Total Rewards at WestRock Company and Total Rewards Manager at MeadWestvaco, where responsibilities involved overseeing large teams and enhancing payroll processes. Laura began the professional journey in human resources at Circuit City, managing associate relations and payroll functions. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Development from Virginia Tech.
