Teresa Hanson

Teresa Hanson is a seasoned professional in regulatory operations and compliance, currently serving as Team Lead for Regulatory Operations at Markel Insurance since December 2017. In this role, Teresa manages a team overseeing regulatory activities across approximately 20 states, focusing on securing state approvals and addressing various regulatory matters. Previously, Teresa held the position of Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Markel Corporation, where responsibilities included managing regulatory activity for nine states and coordinating countrywide filing projects. Teresa has also worked as an Account Manager at Travelers Insurance and as an Underwriting Assistant at Vanliner Insurance. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management with a concentration in Insurance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
