Vijay Bala

Vijay Bala serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at MarketAxess, starting July 2024, where responsibilities include establishing the enterprise vision and strategy for information security, overseeing the development and implementation of security programs, managing cyber risk, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Previously, Vijay held the position of CISO for the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs, managing information security for over 1200 engineers and $2 trillion in assets. Before that, Vijay had a successful tenure at BNP Paribas, first as Head of Security Advisory and Deputy CISO for the North America Region, and earlier in roles such as Application Security Architect and Security Pentester. Vijay's career began at GE as the Regional Information Security Officer and also includes experience as a Security Engineer at Sify Technologies Limited. Vijay holds a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and New York University.
