Lorenzo Marchetti

Lorenzo Marchetti is a Material Development Engineer currently working at Markforged since September 2022, following a similar role at Digital Metal® from August 2021 to September 2022, a company acquired by Markforged. Prior to this, Lorenzo conducted experimental research on metallic powders as a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from September 2017 to August 2021, focusing on maximizing powder utilization and their flow behavior. Lorenzo gained early experience as a trainee at Università degli Studi di Trento in 2013, where testing and analysis of shot peened sintered steels were conducted. Education includes a Master of Engineering in Materials Engineering from Università di Trento (2014-2017) and an exchange program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2015-2016), along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Università di Trento (2010-2014) and a scientific diploma from Collegio San Carlo (2004-2009).
