Michael Lau has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Michael started their career at Kingchurch Nissan Automotive Dealership, where they served as Deputy Branch Manager, responsible for shop management, staff management, and providing customer support. Michael then joined B.I.F Borneo International Furniture Company Limited as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the production of residential and office furniture. After that, they worked as Deputy General Manager at Faircrown International Limited, a joint venture of Tai Ping Carpets Limited and B.I.F.
In 1998, Lau joined Tai Ping Carpets Limited as General Manager for China, where they led sales development and management for five branch offices. Michael later became the Executive Director of Tai Ping Carpet Limited, Greater China, responsible for decision-making on sales and marketing activities in China. During this time, they also served as Executive Director of Corporate Accounts and Hotel Segment, China at Ecolab, a global leader in cleaning and sanitizing products.
In 2013, Lau joined ADEN Services as Executive Director China, Sales, where they led strategic sales development and marketing strategy planning. After that, they joined Cornelius as Vice President, Commercial, responsible for sales, business development, and technical support services for Greater China.
Currently, Lau holds the position of Managing Director/General Manager, Greater China at Marmon Foodservice Technologies. Michael is responsible for the entire scope of business, including vision and strategies, finance, HR, commercial, engineering and new product development, manufacturing, EHS and QA, and SCM.
Michael Lau attended the University of Toronto from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in an unspecified field of study.
