David Petkovsek

David Petkovsek is an experienced software architect and project manager with a strong background in autonomous vehicle technology and electrochemical systems. Currently serving as the Autonomous Intelligent Vehicle Team & Technical Leader at Martinrea International since May 2019, David has led a team in developing innovative proof of concepts that enhance modularity and scalability. Previous roles include Head Software Architect at e-Zn, where David created software for Zinc electrochemical cells, and earlier positions at Martinrea International and e-Zn, focusing on embedded software solutions and GUI development. David’s foundational experience was built through a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and significant contributions to FIRST Team 865: WARP7, achieving accolades in robotics competitions.
