Jia Liu

Jia Liu is an accomplished faculty member at the Maryland Institute College of Art since January 2021, also serving as an adjunct faculty at Towson University from August 2018 to August 2023. In addition to academic roles, Jia Liu is a freelance illustrator at Painted-Words since June 2016. Prior experience includes an education assistant position at The Walters Art Museum from February 2017 to June 2021 and an illustrator intern role at Port Discovery Children's Museum in June 2015, where a series of illustrations was created for the exhibit "Here We Grow!" Jia Liu holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art, completed between 2014 and 2016. Educational background also includes attendance at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
