Joe Grivers

VP, Investment Banking at MassDevelopment

Joe joined MassDevelopment in 2000 and serves as a vice president in Investment Banking. His role is to manage tax-exempt bond transactions and assess property assessed clean energy financing requests, analyze financing for real estate and equipment projects, assess client capital needs and debt structures, source capital, assemble financing teams, and manage project financings and timelines through closure. Joe is responsible for marketing MassDevelopment's financing programs and maintaining bank and client relationships, maintaining client accounts, and working closely with state and local officials to identify development opportunities and support Agency initiatives. Prior to joining MassDevelopment, Joe worked at Bank of Boston and Fleet National Bank as a Residential Loan Officer where he originated, managed, and closed residential real estate mortgages - giving him wide experience in housing programs offered by MassHousing, Massachusetts Housing Partnership, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Federal Housing Administration, and the Veterans Administration. This employment provided him with a broad understanding of banking, lending, and community reinvestment. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University.
