Katie Rice joined MassDevelopment in 2010 as a Senior Accountant when the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority merged with MassDevelopment. Katie is responsible for various month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, STAR Fund-related bond closings, and leases to establish customer accounts and requests for project funds. Prior to working for MassDevelopment, Katie gained accounting and analytical experience in the private sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is working toward completing her Masters of Business Administration by May 2022.

MassDevelopment, the state’s finance and development agency, works with businesses, nonprofits, financial institutions, and communities to stimulate economic growth across the Commonwealth. Through these collaborations they help create jobs, increase the number of housing units, revitalize urban environments, and address factors limiting economic growth including transportation, energy, and infrastructure deficiencies.
