Janet Lane

Janet Lane possesses extensive legal expertise, particularly in the areas of privacy, compliance, and regulatory affairs, with a current focus on global privacy and e-commerce issues. Currently serving as Director, Senior Counsel at Mastercard and as part of the Data Privacy Experts Working Group for the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime, Janet has held significant roles including Global Head of Data Legal at UBS and Head of Privacy EMEA at LSEG. With a solid background in commercial law, Janet's previous positions also include senior roles at Refinitiv, Jaguar Land Rover, and Experian. Janet's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Birmingham and further studies at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
