Valen Tong

Valen Tong is currently the CFO at MasterClass. Prior to that, they were the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Business Officer at BFA Industries from July 2017 to September 2021. Valen was also responsible for launching Madeby Collective and Refreshesments businesses. From March to September 2021, they were the Chief Business Officer responsible for incubating and launching new businesses including international expansion. Prior to that, they were the SVP CFO and Board Member at Brookstone from September 2014 to June 2017. Before Brookstone, they were the CFO of the Consumer Packaging Division at Graphic Packaging International, LLC from January 2012 to December 2014. And before that, they worked at Procter & Gamble in various finance and corporate strategy positions in the US, Australia, and Singapore from January 2002 to December 2012.

Valen Tong has a Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MSc in Business Policy from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor in Economics from Renmin University of China.
