Bart Van Der Schueren

Bart Van Der Schueren serves as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President at Materialise, a position held since 1995, where leadership contributed to the growth of the service bureau into a leading additive manufacturing facility in Europe. Prior to this, Bart served as a Liaison Engineer and PhD Candidate at KU Leuven from 1990 to 1995, where a PhD in Selective Laser Metal Sintering was pursued while establishing foundational research for Materialise and launching 3D printing research at the university. Bart holds a Master’s Degree in Science in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, obtained between 1985 and 1990.
