Materra
Alexander Aina has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alexander started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Imperial College London, where they conducted analytical and numerical analyses of a single dimension 2 spin Ising model to understand the charging behavior in cylindrical nano porous electrodes. Alexander then continued their academic pursuits as a Doctoral Student at UCL from September 2016 to August 2020.
In 2011, Alexander began working as a Freelance Break and Contemporary Teacher at Aina, organizing dance-related events and teaching fusion dance classes for both children and adults. Additionally, they joined Hashtag Unity as part of their Events Team & Contributor, responsible for promoting, organizing, and hosting art and dance exhibitions across London. Alexander also managed social media platforms and created content for events.
From 2018 to 2019, Alexander worked as a Resident Artist at Roundhouse Trust, developing immersive and engaging circus and dance performances. Alexander performed at various festivals and events and conducted acrobatics and movement workshops.
Most recently, Alexander held roles at Materra, starting as a Lead Data Scientist from December 2020 to January 2023 before being promoted to the Head of Data & Engineering. Unfortunately, specific start and end dates for these roles were not provided.

Alexander Aina began their education in 2004 at Havering 6th Form College/Eastbrook School where they studied A levels and GCSEs. After completing this stage of their education in 2010, they went on to pursue a degree in Chemistry with Molecular Physics at Imperial College London, graduating with an MSci in 2014. In 2015, Alexander enrolled at UCL to pursue a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Molecular Modelling, which they completed in 2016. Subsequently, they continued their studies at UCL and obtained an EngDoc degree in Molecular Modelling and Quantum Theory in 2020.
