Cmi Kate Nickelson

Kate Nickelson, CMI, currently serves as the Indirect Tax Manager at Matrix Service Company since May 2023. Prior to this role, Kate held positions at BDO USA, LLP, as the STS-SALT Manager and Experienced STS-SALT Senior from February 2021 to May 2023. Kate’s experience also includes serving as Lead Tax Analyst and Senior Tax Analyst at Laredo Petroleum, Inc., where responsibilities included preparing and filing monthly direct pay, sales, and use tax returns and reconciling GL accounts. Earlier roles at Hilti Group and ONEOK involved preparing federal and state income tax returns and filing various tax returns across multiple states. Kate Nickelson holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Northeastern State University, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Strayer University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oral Roberts University.
