Alton Takeyasu is a distinguished design professional with extensive experience in the toy industry. Serving as Key Principal Designer for Mattel Hot Wheels since 1991, Takeyasu has significantly contributed to the brand's success. In addition to this role, Takeyasu has been an instructor at Otis College of Art and Design since 2003, sharing expertise with aspiring designers. Takeyasu's career began at Kenner Toys from 1984 to 1991 as a Staff Designer, focusing on Boys Toys and Advanced Concepts design. Takeyasu holds a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design from the ArtCenter College of Design, where studies were completed between 1981 and 1984.
