Phill Aitken is a seasoned professional in user experience design and product development, currently serving as the Director of User Experience at Viv Technologies since November 2021. With a background that includes roles such as Lead Product Designer and Lead iOS Developer, Aitken has extensive experience in designing and developing user-friendly applications, particularly for healthcare-related platforms. Prior to their role at Viv Technologies, Aitken held positions at various organizations, including Wellthon, Algonquin College, City of Ottawa, and Teknision, where expertise in both technology and user experience was cultivated. Aitken holds degrees in Computer Science and Paramedic studies, along with Project Management Professional certification, reflecting a diverse skill set that combines technical knowledge with hands-on experience in emergency medical services.

Mavencare was conceived after the founders each experienced similar challenges finding and managing quality home care for their grandparents. Collectively, the team decided there had to be a better way. Using their collective experience in healthcare, senior care and technology, the company was born with the goal of providing the highest quality,family focused home care. Our Vision to revolutionize home health care; to create a world where people can live out their lives in the comfort of their own homes.Nearly 90 percent of seniors want to stay in their own homes as they age, often referred to as “aging in place” but the majority cannot accomplish this. This means that the majority of the 46 million North American seniors cannot live their golden years in the location of their choosing - a problem that Mavencare is determined to address. We believe that everyone has the right to age in the comfort of their own home. And that’s why Mavencare was born.
