Mawson & Mawson was founded in 1895 when James Mawson first started hauling goods from the Philadelphia docks to the surrounding areas by horse and wagon. This family-owned operation was passed from father to son until 1953 when Robert J. Durbin purchased the company and his family took on the task of carrying the Mawson & Mawson legacy into its next chapter. 
	While the business has expanded to bring Mawson & Mawson’s trusted transportation nationwide, the oldest operating Class 8 motor carrier in the country still relies on family values in the ownership of Robert J. Durbin’s grandchildren Sean, Ashley, and Brendan. Our fleet of over 250 trucks are operated by both company and independent drivers and serve the transportation needs of over 200 customers in the steel, building material, machinery, aluminum industries as well as customers in general commodities. Mawson & Mawson is committed to growing with our customers by providing superior service and on time delivery, in order to fulfill our goal to be the best in the industry.
