Senior Dynamics Controls Analysis Engineer at Maxar Technologies

Scott Larwood is a seasoned engineer and educator with extensive experience in dynamics controls, wind energy, and aeronautical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Dynamics Controls Analysis Engineer at Maxar Technologies since April 2022, Scott focuses on thruster control design for the Lunar Gateway and control design for the Space Development Agency's satellite projects. Prior to this role, Scott held various academic positions at the University of the Pacific, contributing to teaching and research in mechanics and wind energy from 2007 to 2021. Additional experience includes roles at Penn State University, UC Davis, Dynamic Design, GE Energy, Enron Wind, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where Scott was involved in wind turbine simulations, testing, and research projects. Scott Larwood holds a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and a PhD in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
