Omar Vidal Pino

Omar Vidal Pino is an accomplished professional serving as the Chief AI Officer at Maxtrack since February 2025. Previously, Omar held the position of Lead Research Scientist at Biel Glasses, utilizing AI and Mixed Reality technologies to develop smart glasses for the visually impaired. Omar's extensive experience at Maxtrack from December 2019 to June 2022 included roles such as Software Development Manager and Principal Researcher, focusing on Edge-based Computer Vision and AI solutions for enhancing driving safety. Omar completed a PhD in Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, where research centered on the semantic description of objects. Omar’s career also includes significant contributions in teaching and development roles across various institutions in Cuba, specializing in software engineering, business intelligence, and computer vision technologies.
