Alex Smilansky has had a varied career in business and design. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Business Development professional at Visa Europe. In 2011, they transitioned to a Designer role at Special Projects, Design & Invention Studio. From 2013 to 2015, they held two roles at Mint Digital, as a Strategy Lead and a Product Designer. In 2015, they became the Co-Founder & CEO of Mayku, where they work to help people make amazing things with beautiful tabletop machines.
Alex Smilansky attended Goldsmiths, University of London from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Design & Innovation.
