Irfan Shamim

Irfan Shamim has extensive banking experience spanning over 28 years, currently serving as the Head of SWIFT Operations at MCB Islamic Bank Ltd since September 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing the SWIFT Operations, Funds Settlement Unit, and SBP Reporting Unit. Prior to this role, Irfan spent 20 years at MCB Bank Limited, rising to the position of Assistant Vice President and Senior Manager, specializing in Foreign Exchange and IT environments, as well as managing the IT department and supporting core banking systems. Irfan holds an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics from Karachi University and is an Oracle Certified Professional.
