Tony Berg is Group Publisher, McClatchy. He leads the company’s operations and multi-disciplinary efforts to consolidate legacy infrastructure and transition the local media company to a digital future. Tony has extensive experience in digital, print, and television sales, with more than two decades leading teams and driving growth at Gannett and McClatchy. Before being appointed to the executive team, Tony rose to the role of publisher at The Kansas City Star and led McClatchy’s Central region comprised of four markets. A native of Kansas and based in Wichita, Tony is also President of The Wichita Eagle. He received a B.A. from the University of Kansas.
