Seth Friedman

Seth Friedman is an attorney with extensive experience in litigation and professional liability, currently serving as a Litigation Partner and co-Lead of the Accountant Defense practice at McDermott Will & Emery LLP since March 2018. Friedman specializes in representing US and international accounting firms, as well as individual accountants, in federal and state litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations by entities such as the SEC and PCAOB. Prior to this role, Friedman was a Litigation Partner and Co-Chair of the Professional Liability practice at DLA Piper, focusing on similar legal issues. Additional experience includes positions as Deputy General Counsel at BDO USA, LLP, Assistant General Counsel at KPMG US, and an Associate at Latham & Watkins. Friedman also contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Law School Professor at Fordham University School of Law. Friedman holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor's degree from Binghamton University.
