As Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for McDonald's USA, Pat oversees the company’s human resources operations in the U.S., including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Inclusion, Culture, and Organization Effectiveness.
In this role, Pat leads the continued transformation of the employee experience across both restaurant and corporate settings – focused on hiring, retention, development, and engagement across the U.S. market. With his track record of driving culture change, scaling innovation, and championing frontline teams, Pat is helping make McDonald’s an even stronger employer of choice in every community it serves.
Prior to McDonald’s, Pat served in various leadership roles at companies like Medtronic, Target, Mars, and Kraft Heinz, where he led complex people strategies with a focus on building inclusive, high-performing teams. His ability to connect the dots between big-picture talent strategy and meaningful, locally relevant execution makes him a trusted and respected leader among his peers.
Beyond his achievements, Pat has a passion for building people-first organizations and a commitment to creating environments where everyone can thrive. He brings a values-driven leadership approach to his work, one that aligns with McDonald’s culture of care, opportunity, and belonging.
Pat holds bachelor’s degrees in healthcare administration and biology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
