James Simpson

James Simpson is an experienced construction engineering professional, currently serving as the Construction Engineering Director and Head of Construction Engineering at McGee since January 2018. In this role, James leads a team of award-winning structural, geotechnical, and digital engineers, specializing in the demolition, repurposing, and construction of mega basements and structures in London. Prior to McGee, James held positions at AECOM as a Senior Structural Engineer, where responsibilities included designing works for the KVMRT line 2 underground rail infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur, and at Kier Group in various roles from Design Engineer to Graduate Design Engineer, focusing on railway and wastewater infrastructure. James holds an MSc in Structural Engineering from the University of Leeds and a BEng in Civil Engineering from The University of Salford.
