Guillermo Rocha

Guillermo Rocha serves as the Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at McGill University and as Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at the Centre universitaire de santé McGill | McGill University Health Centre since September 2023. With a long-standing involvement in various professional organizations, Guillermo Rocha has been a Board Member of the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology since June 2019 and has held multiple leadership roles within the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, including President and Past President. Additionally, Guillermo Rocha is the Medical Director at Ocular Microsurgery & Laser Centre and GRMC Vision Centre, along with previous Medical Director experience at TLC Laser Eye Centers. Prior roles also include Attending Staff Surgeon at Minnedosa District Hospital and Brandon Regional Health Centre and Professor at the University of Manitoba. Guillermo Rocha holds an FRCSC in Ophthalmology from McGill University and has completed several professional development programs, including a certificate in Clinical Research from Harvard Medical School and training in physician leadership at Northwestern University.
