Alexander Talreja is a Computer Science and Finance student at the University of Virginia, expected to graduate in 2026. Alexander has gained valuable experience through various internships, including a Software Engineering Internship at CargoLabs Inc., where backend code was developed for AWS S3 bucket management and SQL queries were crafted for user information retrieval. In addition, Alexander interned at Google as a STEP Software Engineering Intern, focused on software engineering projects. Previous roles include participation in an algorithmic coding competition at Susquehanna International Group, an instructorship at Kumon North America, and app development during a summer internship at Ornish Lifestyle Medicine. Alexander also attended the University of Oxford for further education in 2023.

The McIntire Investment Institute (MII) is an entirely student-run, long/short equity fund with approximately $1 million AUM at the University of Virginia. Founded in 1994 by an endowment established by "Tiger Cub" John Griffin of Blue Ridge Capital, our Institute operates as a non-profit under the McIntire Foundation. We employ a fundamental, value-oriented investment strategy. MII strives to help its members find their passion related to business through mentorship, education, and an introduction to the professional world.
