Davis Buckbee is an incoming Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs, starting in June 2024, previously serving as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst in the Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging Group. Since September 2021, Davis has held various roles at the McIntire Investment Institute, including Chief Operating Officer, Portfolio Manager, Associate, and Analyst. In addition, Davis serves as Program Director and Volunteer Tax Preparer at Madison House in Charlottesville, VA, focusing on the Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope (CASH) initiative. Earlier experience includes a Summer Analyst position at I Squared Capital in Infrastructure Private Equity and a Trip Leader role at Moondance Adventures. Academically, Davis is pursuing a B.S. in Commerce at the UVA McIntire School of Commerce, with a minor in History from the University of Virginia, and participated in a Study Abroad program in Denmark. Educational background includes graduation from Douglas S. Freeman High School with a focus on Leadership, Government, and Global Economics.

The McIntire Investment Institute (MII) is an entirely student-run, long/short equity fund with approximately $1 million AUM at the University of Virginia. Founded in 1994 by an endowment established by "Tiger Cub" John Griffin of Blue Ridge Capital, our Institute operates as a non-profit under the McIntire Foundation. We employ a fundamental, value-oriented investment strategy. MII strives to help its members find their passion related to business through mentorship, education, and an introduction to the professional world.
