Berend Heringa

Berend Heringa is a Partner at McKinsey & Company since January 2018, with a longstanding role as Head of Innovation & Technology and Vice President Energy Insights at McKinsey New Ventures. In these positions, Berend leads a specialized team providing analytical insights for key strategic decisions in the energy sector. Prior to these roles, Berend served as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from November 2004 to January 2012, focusing on project management for energy companies across various strategic and operational areas. Earlier experience includes working as a Purchasing Manager for Danone - LU in Italy, coordinating purchasing strategies across multiple geographic locations. Berend holds an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Utrecht University and a Baccalaureat in Physical Sciences from Lycee francais Charles Lepierre in Lisbon.
