Gary Britton has over three decades of experience in the IT industry, starting as a Natural ADABAS Developer in 1989. Gary progressed to roles as an IT Consultant, SAP Consultant, SAP Solution Lead, Commercial Solutions Manager, and eventually Head of Employee & Commercial Innovation at McLaren Group. Gary'sexpertise spans various areas such as sales, technical solutions, procurement, and SAP modules like SD, CRM, and ABAP.
Gary Britton attended Alexandra Boys High from 1981 to 1985. Gary then went on to the University of KwaZulu-Natal, graduating in 1988. In 2022, they obtained certifications as an ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Team Facilitation and as a TOGAF® Certified professional.

McLaren was the first F1 team to be awarded the Carbon Trust Standard in 2010 and has retained it since on a bi-annual basis, most recently in February 2021. The team was also the first in F1 to be given the FIA Sustainability Accreditation Award at a three-star level in 2013 as part of the FIA Environmental Certification framework, before becominga signatory to the UN Sports for Climate Action Commitment in 2021.
