Haaniya Ahmed

Haaniya Ahmed is a dedicated Biomedical Engineering student at McMaster University with extensive experience in both engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Biomedical Engineering Co-op at the University Health Network, Haaniya builds on summer projects while previously developing machine learning models for surgical decision-making as an AI Engineering Intern. Haaniya is also involved with the Space Generation Advisory Council as a participant in the ACHIEVED Competition, focusing on innovative astronaut safety solutions. In leadership capacities, Haaniya manages the RF Communications team for the McMaster Interdisciplinary Satellite Team and acts as Co-President of the iBioMed Society, initiating community-focused consulting efforts. Haaniya's academic involvement includes positions as a Lead Lab TA, Teaching Assistant, and Social Researcher, contributing to significant research acknowledged in a Springer publication.
