Kumaraswamy Virpupakshan

Kumaraswamy Virpupakshan currently serves as a Research Scholar at Management Development Institute in Gurgaon, a position held since August 2022. With a robust career spanning several decades, Kumaraswamy previously was the CFO and Head of Strategy/IT at J K Paper from September 2005 to September 2022, overseeing finance, strategic planning, joint ventures, overseas explorations, mergers and acquisitions, and information technology. Prior to this, Kumaraswamy held the role of General Manager at Atul Limited, managing corporate finance, forex, costing, risk management, and insurance from March 1998 to September 2005. Kumaraswamy was also the CFO and Head of the Southern Region at ITC Bhadrachalam Finance from October 1992 to March 1997, and worked at Ciba-Geigy as Manager of Planning Information and Control from September 1989 to September 1992. Kumaraswamy holds a PGDM/MBA in Finance, Strategy, and General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Commerce from DG Vaishnav College, Chennai University.
