The name Mechaniya blends machine with the strong, feminine spirit (in Sanskrit and its descendant languages like Hindi, the suffix -īyā is used in some contexts to form feminine nouns or adjectives), celebrating the powerful connection between the machinic and the feminine. Each piece of textile art embodies skill, story, and purpose.
