Martin Haynes

Martin Haynes has a diverse and extensive work experience. Martin started as the Director at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Medavie as the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, responsible for strategy management, corporate performance, government business development, and relations. Martin also served as the Vice President of Government & Corporate Secretary at Medavie Blue Cross / Croix Bleue Medavie, where they were in charge of growth, operations, and profitability of government lines of business. Earlier in their career at Medavie Blue Cross, they held the positions of Vice President of Corporate Services and Vice President of Organization Development. Additionally, Haynes served as the Director and President of MediCorp Inc. at Medavie Blue Cross.

Martin Haynes has a diverse education history. In 1976-1977, they attended Brookes University (formerly Oxford Polytechnic) where they completed a Foundation Course in Accounting Studies, focusing on accounting. In 2012-2013, they were enrolled at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for the Director's Education Program, DEP 41.
