Joy January

Joy January is an experienced journalist currently working at Media24 (Pty) Ltd as a News and Lifestyle journalist for Huisgenoot and a Digital journalist for Landbou.com since February 2023. Joy previously served as a Tutor at the University of the Western Cape from March 2021 to December 2022, and worked as a Freelance Writer for Weslander from October 2020 to February 2021, where high-quality content was produced and edited, culminating in a front page headline story. Prior to this, Joy was also a Freelance Writer for Eikestadnuus in September and October 2020, focusing on managing creative processes and fostering innovation. Joy's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, an Honours degree in Afrikaans and Nederlands, and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Afrikaans and Dutch at the University of the Western Cape.
