Yihan Xu

Yihan Xu has been working in the localization industry since 2009. In 2009, they worked as a Translator for the 3rd Global Forum on Communication Studies in Shanghai. In 2010, they worked as a Translator and Editor for Alchemica! and as a Translation Project Manager for the Shanghai World EXPO 2010 ICP. In 2011, they worked as an Escort Interpreter for HSBC. In 2013, they worked as a DTP for Globe Center. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Localization Project Manager for MediaLocate, handling 15-20 projects each day, generating around 150K profit per month and managing projects in various capacities including translation/transcreation, localizing/updating webpages and mobile apps, subtitling/voiceover for videos etc. Yihan then worked as a OneLink Website Localization Project Manager for TransPerfect from 2016 onwards.

Yihan Xu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media and Design / English from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2007 and 2011. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey between 2012 and 2014.
