Alexandre Fombonne

VP Acquisitions at Mediawan

Alexandre Fombonne has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry. Alexandre started their career at Metropolitan Filmexport in 2009, where they worked in development and programming. Alexandre then moved on to Groupe TF1 in 2010, where they held a role in acquisitions and programming for TF6. In 2011, they had two positions, one as a sales administrative coordinator at The Walt Disney Company - Media Distribution, and another as an acquisitions and programming manager at Direct 8. In 2014, Alexandre worked at Free Dolphin Entertainment, focusing on scripted development and acquisitions for TV movies. Since 2015, they have been with Mediawan, first as a content advisor for scripted content, where they selected and acquired foreign content for the French audience. Alexandre is currently the Head of Scripted Editorial at Mediawan Rights, responsible for creative management of scripted developments, coproductions, and acquisitions with in-house and third-party producers and talents. Alexandre also sources new, original, and third-party content for co-production and international distribution.

Alexandre Fombonne's education history includes a Master II degree in Droit du Cinéma, de l'Audiovisuel et du Multimédia (DCAM) from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) in 2009, with a mention of AB. Additionally, in the same year, they also obtained a DU (Diplôme Universitaire) in Profession du Cinéma, de l'Audiovisuel et du Multimédia (DCAM) from the same university with a mention of AB. Prior to that, they completed a Master I degree in Droit Privé from Nantes Université in 2008. In 2006, Alexandre earned a Licence degree in Droit from Université de Rennes I.
