Marco Zaninelli has a strong background in financial institutions credit risk management and rating analysis. Marco began their career as a Civil Servant at the Borgoforte City Council and then worked as a Market Analyst for the Autorità per l'energia elettrica e il gas. Marco later joined UniCredit as an Economist and then moved to Intesa Sanpaolo as a Country Risk Analyst. Marco then returned to UniCredit, where they held various roles including Credit Modeller, Sovereign Rating Analyst, and Head of Financial Institution, Bank and Sovereign (FIBS) Rating Agency. Marco further expanded their expertise with a role at Moody's Investors Service as AVP-Sovereign. Most recently, Marco has been serving as the Head of Financial Institutions Credit Risk Management at Mediobanca.
Marco Zaninelli holds a BA degree in Economics with a focus on Economic Theory and Political Economy from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Marco also pursued an MSc degree in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Southampton from 2003 to 2004.
