David Bates

David Bates is an experienced professional in mergers and acquisitions, currently serving as Head of M&A at Mediq since May 2024. Prior to this role, David held the position of M&A Director at Rubix, an Advent International portfolio company, from August 2019 to May 2024. David's background includes a corporate development role at Diploma Plc from July 2015 to August 2019 and experience as Associate Director at MCF Corporate Finance between November 2009 and July 2015. Earlier in David’s career, significant time was spent as an Assistant Manager in financial services audit at Deloitte from September 2005 to November 2009 and as an Analyst at SimCorp from October 2004 to August 2005. David Bates holds an ACA qualification from ICAEW and a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, completed in 2004, following secondary education at Tiffin Boys School.
